I can't beleive that a year has passed since I tentatively posted my first blog! Where does the time go. It was Beccy who kept telling me to do something like a blog - maybe she was hoping that I would stop going on about my sewing to her and tell everyone else instead!
So I popped down to my LQS last week and got these for a giveaway
There are 4 fat quarters here, I thought the patterns were fun and someone will enjoy making things from them.
So, just leave any kind of comment - maybe you can tell me why you first starting writing a blog, but you don't have to!
And thank you to you all for being a follower of my blog, for those who leave me comments and make me smile and those who I can chat with. Starting a blog introduced me to a whole heap of wonderful people, many of whom I am hoping to meet in June in London!
I will draw a winner (somehow!) on Wednesday evening.
Happy blogiversary Catherine. I started mine to give the ladies in my classes a forum but it's become something altogether different...love it.
ReplyDeleteHappy blogiversary from me too! I started mine two years ago because I have no friends around who are into quilting. So it became my special motivation place and I gt to know so many other lovely quilters.
ReplyDeleteThe fabrics are so cute! Thanks so much!
Happy blogiversary! Like Martina, I started mine because I don't have any friends who are into quilting. I'm obsessed with reading other blogs, and I like chronicling what I'm up to :)
ReplyDeleteHappy year in blogging!
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't know why I started mine (it was like 3 or 4 years ago). I think at that point I was reading a lot of other blogs elsewhere and figured I should try and do the same. At least as a chronicle of the things I have worked on. I have tried over the years to update frequently and I have always hit a stumbing block and then not updated in months so this time I am really going for it with at least bi-weekly updates.
Congratulations, Catherine! I guess I started mine as a way to document what I was making and like most others, because none of my friends are quilters. It has been amazing to meet all the people that I have since starting!
ReplyDeleteHappy blogaversary Catherine! We started our blog to connect with other quilters/ crafters. I'm so glad we did as ŵe have made so many lovely blogland friends in the few years we've been doing it :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy blogiversary, Catherine. I find it quite funny that you, Annebella and I all started blogging about the same time - and managed to find each other's blogs so early on in the process. Happy to have met you through the internet and really looking forward to meeting you in person in June.
ReplyDeleteHow cool is this! Happy blogiversary! I started blogging to chronicle my quilting and share my creations with friends and family who don't live near me, which is just about everyone because I live in the middle of nowhere. What I have found is the best Quilty support group I could ever imagine, including you Catherine! I hope you have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeletehappy blogiversary - wish i could meet you all in june - that'd be awesome - ah well, internet contact only :(
ReplyDeleteCongrats Cath! Those wellies are so adorable! My friend Sarah (Sew Me) got me into the addiction of blogging! So glad to have got to know you a little and will get to meet you in June! Jxo
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary, I love those fabrics, the spools one is sooo cute. I started blogging because I enjoyed reading everyone elses.
ReplyDeleteHave a good day
x
I really enjoy reading your blog. I starting because I was reading blogs every day and it seemed the conversation was one sided. Not fair!! LOL Thanks for a great giveaway. Love the fabric with the wellies on it.
ReplyDeleteHappy blogiversary!
ReplyDeleteI started blogging because I wanted to be part of the online quilting world, share my quilts and things I have learned along the way.
Happy blogaversary virtual triplet (along with Susan). You know, I can`t really remember! I think I just fancied keeping a record of what I was doing creatively! It`s always a happy thing to pop over her Catherine.
ReplyDeleteHappy blogiversary! I started blogging because I wanted a record of my journey into quilting. I also like writing, so it was a chance to do a little bit of that too. Oh how I wish I could come to London in June. But I will be at my own Minnesota quilt show that month. Thank you for the great giveaway.
