A finally finished FAL

Woo hoo, I have finally finished my Ferris Wheel. I think this has been on my FAL list every quarter since the beginning!

I always knew I would love it, but I just took forever over it.  It did some hand quilting and some machine quilting

I have also been whizzing up some minis. It all started with Sheilas blocks for Bee a Brit stingy

I loved how quick and easy they were, so decided to make some of my own. The biggest is 5.5"

I can see a lot more of these in the future

Funky Pippi

I missed making Pippi for Bee blessed the first time around, so I made sure I made one when Sarah posted the block for March

This was a lot of fun to do: I think they help to channel an 'inner you'
I also got Sheilas Bee blocks done, she is making doll quilts for her granddaughter, so these were cute to make: tiny little granny squares

And I also managed to use up some more scraps in my 'Scrumptious Spools' mini, the scraps were all 1"

I am dissapointed that the middle spool is slightly wonky, but hope my friend likes it. I popped it in the post today, so fingers crossed!

The other half

This weekend I did a little of "how the other half live"

A group of us from work went and had a day out in London, including afternoon tea at Harrods
It really was everything you would expect it to be. The sandwiches and cakes were amazing: one of these between two people! (We all took doggy bags home)
We also went to see Jersey Boys, and the went to Chinatown for supper: I still can't believe we had a huge Chinese after our Harrods tea.
This was all in aid of my friends 50th. You may remember the red granny I started last weekend, well I turned it in to this
Which I will be gifting to her tomorrow.
Now, I could definitely get used to a life like that!
