Over the weekend I finally got round to making a bag, and I used the reversible bucket bag from Sewmamasew
It was a really easy pattern and I only made one short cut: I boxed the bottom, rather than making a seperate piece and I love how it has turned out.
I am ashamed to say that this was the first time I have ever made my own bias binding - and it was nowhere near as awful as I thought it would be!
My sister in law made me a fabric brooch a while back - it could have been made especially for this bag
I think this just might be the bag that I take to London in June!!
Now that's definitely a bag for showing off in the big City! JxoReplyDelete
Oh it looks great but will it be big enough for all the things you are going to buy?ReplyDelete
Looks like a great bag for June - funnily enough, I just bought a bias tape maker this week....ReplyDelete
I absolutely ADORE that blue/white floral print. I'd like to know more about it! Cute bag, I used to make bags a lot (that's how I got started sewing) and I really should make myself a new purse, too. Jealous you get to go to London! (but hope you have a super great time, of course!)ReplyDelete
yep great back for the big smoke!ReplyDelete
God, I'm going to be the only one in London with nothing handmade, aren't I?!! Ace bag.ReplyDelete
That's a lovely bag - perfect for summer in the city!ReplyDelete
