1st finish of 2013!!

Finally, I have a finish. The first of the year. (original post here)


I have finished the quilt for my friend who is going through chemo at the moment

The 1st bout didn't go well and she was poorly and ended up in hospital.  That was when I knew I had to hurry up
I have done straight line quilting
And used a very soft fleecy backing in shocking pink. 

I am really pleased with how its turned out: and... All done from scraps. I really hope she feels like she is wrapped in a hug when she is using this

    what a beautiful thing to do - i'm sure she'll feel like she's having a hug - let your friend know it does get better - just might take a little time...(been there, done that)

    What a beautiful and thoughtful gift for your friend Catherine! We know from Bee Blessed what a real comfort a quilt can be to people who are struggling with chemo and all that it brings - I pray that your friend will know that physical comfort of your gift and the comfort of knowing she is very much in your thoughts at this horrible time.
