Today has been a glorious day. We do tend to get good weather in Essex: well, there has to be a perk to living in the South!
I find it difficult to just sit and do nothing, so I got on with a project that has been lingering for the last couple of years (yes...years!)
Here is the before:
a very sad looking pebble pond
And here is the after
Whoop! I love it. I just need to get some plants in now, although I may wait a few weeks yet as I did read that it was going to get chilly again soon - I hope they are wrong
There wasn't much sewing: I have put something together for the Sew Mama Sew giveaway tomorrow, so hope you will come back then and have a look

East coast weather is always good! You have done good with the pond. Enjoy the long weekend. Di x
ReplyDeleteGlad you had some sunny weather this bank holiday and it's so satisfying when you get one of 'those' jobs done :)
ReplyDeleteWasn't it lovely out. And tomorrow is supposed to be better. Woohoo! What will you get up to then?
ReplyDeleteNice work; although those little fountains always make me need the loo!
ReplyDeleteLaughing at Hadley's comment above as I went to a garden centre this am and the tinkling of the water features made me glad I'd been to the loo already! Can't wait to see your finished water feature.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the pond. It'll be very pretty with plants around it. Hope you get a rest tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteGreen fingers too? Are there no end to your talents missus?! Jxo
ReplyDeleteAhh what a beautiful day. Not jealous at all... much... ;-) Very good work with your waterworks there :-)
ReplyDeletewe have sun here in Cheshire today... I am supposed to be cleaning... promised myself I would! However have been ...oh I will just do that.. sort of thing! must leave the sewing room and look at the rest of the house ... lol x
ReplyDeleteThe little bubble pond will be lovely when all those plants are round it!
ReplyDeleteI used to live in Essex, and yes, there was generally more sun there than up North! Lucky you!
Great job Catherine, water features are so calming. We have a natural one today......again.
